Marcia Narine Weldon

Marcia Narine Weldon is a lawyer, law professor, leadership coach, AI ethicist, and founder of Illuminating Wisdom®, where she partners with high-achieving professionals and institutions to navigate complexity, foster ethical cultures, and lead with purpose under pressure. She works with founders looking to expand their capacity without burning out, organizations preparing for AI and the future of work, and law firms facing high-stakes client demands, cultural shifts, and generational change. She also supports HR and L&D teams investing in people—not just process—and academic institutions seeking neuroscience-informed strategies to improve retention, resilience, and leadership. She is certified in applied neuroscience, mindfulness facilitation, neurolinqguistic programming, hypnotherapy, energy psychology, and mental health first aid. Her proprietary NeuroLUCID™ framework blends behavioral science, leadership development, and brain-based tools to help lawyers and leaders sustain performance and wellbeing in high-pressure environments.

She has over thirty years of legal and compliance experience across a diverse range of sectors. She has held senior leadership roles at Ryder, a publicly traded Fortune 500 company, where she served as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, Vice President of Global Compliance and Business Standards, and Chief Privacy Officer. In these roles, Marcia helped build and led Ryder’s global compliance, enterprise risk management, privacy, and corporate responsibility programs in over a dozen countries. Her leadership extended to overseeing business ethics, government relations, environmental compliance, and labor and employment legal programs. Marcia also served as head of human resources for one of Ryder’s two divisions. Before joining Ryder, Marcia practiced employment law at Morgan Lewis in Miami and commercial litigation at Cleary Gottlieb in New York.

She is currently General Counsel of Eunomia Risk Advisory and Eunomia Global, and three nonprofits, the Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade, the Alumnae-i Network for Harvard Women , and Kindness Matters 365.  She also serves as the Director of the Transactional Skills Program and Faculty Coordinator of the Business Compliance and Sustainability concentration at the University of Miami School of Law. There, she teaches regulatory compliance, corporate governance, sustainability, business and human rights, transactional lawyering, and business associations. She also teaches design thinking and ethics and technology at the School of Engineering and employment law in the Masters in Legal Studies program, integrating multidisciplinary approaches to legal education.
