Jean Marie Middleton is an experienced and dedicated attorney with more than thirty-eight (38) years of legal practice spanning both the public and private sectors. Throughout her distinguished career, she has served in a variety of leadership and legal roles, including Assistant General Counsel and Senior Counsel for the Palm Beach County School District, Chief of Litigation for the School Board of Miami-Dade County, Assistant City Attorney for the City of Lake Worth and the City of Miami-Dade, as well as Corporate Attorney and Senior State Relations Consultant for Lincoln National Corporation. Her broad legal expertise includes litigation management, employment relations, education law, mediation, and public sector counsel.
Mrs. Middleton possesses more than twenty-one (21) years of management experience, overseeing diverse teams of attorneys and paraprofessionals while managing extensive litigation matters in state, appellate, and federal courts. She is also a Florida Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and holds a Certificate in Employee Relations Law.
A graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C., Mrs. Middleton earned both her Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the institution. Her commitment to leadership and service extends far beyond the courtroom through decades of volunteerism, mentorship, and civic engagement focused on youth development, education, and community empowerment.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Middleton has held numerous leadership positions within prominent legal and civic organizations, including serving as President of the Palm Beach County Bar Association and Past President of the F. Malcolm Cunningham Sr. Bar Association. She has also contributed to several Florida Bar committees focused on professionalism, ethics, diversity, education law, and judicial practices. Her continued involvement in organizations such as Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and multiple community outreach initiatives reflects her enduring commitment to advocacy, mentorship, and service.
